Rarn D.P.O Tape Ornaments ( and bongos )
Welcome to the mad world of the Make Noise Dual Prismatic Oscillator or D.P.O.
The raw alien, squelchy visceral sound of the D.P.O. is much very loved here at Rarn Studio and in all discerning studios universe wide. Now you can adopt it and give it some cat sticks.
It’s an odd beast to tame but rewards the brave.
What better way to showcase it than to lash it through the Overstayer Modular Channel and into the balanced in and outs of a Revox Pr99 onto some pristine AGFA tape.

It makes some seriously otherworldly ornament sounds and alien sound scapes which you can use as you see fit.
There are some serious bass hits too, think of them like an 808 hanging out in a floatation tank with John C. Lilly.
And finally included are one of my absolute favourite sounds - it’s faithful recreation of the famous ‘Buchla Bongos’. These are achieved by frequency modulating the oscillators and triggering them through a vactrol gate.
They have a very nice woody sound.They are perfect for adding wonk to your bonk.
These are also recorded to tape of course and included are the half speed bongos for those days when you are staring out the window of you rubber mushshroom vestibule.
